The Walt Disney Company recently helped sponsor the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) Media Summit in Hollywood. During the event, Victoria Alonso, executive vice president of Physical Production for Marvel Studios, and Diego Luna from Lucasfilm’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, were honored for their accomplishments as Latinx storytellers behind and in front of the camera. Alonso received the Tech Arts Innovator Award for her work as an executive producer of numerous box office hits, including Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War and Marvel Studios’ Black Panther. Luna received the Outstanding Achievement in Film Award for his accomplishments as a Latin American actor, director, and producer.
