HACR Concludes Its Most Successful Program in History, 2019 HACR Symposium

Hundreds gather in Miami, FL to participate in the 2019 HACR Symposium to hear from successful Hispanic leaders in Corporate America, non-profit, education and consultancy firms.

The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is pleased to announce that PepsiCo, Inc. and Target Corporation served as Co-Host Sponsors for the 27th Annual HACR Symposium: The Power of Hispanic Inclusion™. This program took place May 5-7, 2019, at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami.

“We are thrilled to have PepsiCo and Target once again as Co-Host Sponsors of our 27th Annual HACR Symposium,” said HACR President & CEO, Cid Wilson. “Both companies recognize the importance of advancing Hispanic inclusion at their companies and in Corporate America. We thank them for partnering with us again for what will be a memorable Symposium in Miami.”

The Annual HACR Symposium: The Power of Hispanic Inclusion™ brings together some of the nation’s most influential Hispanic corporate leaders, diversity and inclusion specialists, public officials, and corporate executives to discuss and identify effective strategies and models for achieving greater inclusion and participation of Hispanics in the areas of Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance.

The 13th Annual CEO Roundtable held on Tuesday, May 7, 2018 had an impressive lineup. The CEO Roundtable is the flagship forum of the HACR 27th Annual Symposium: The Power of Hispanic Inclusion™. AARP CEO, Jo Ann Jenkins, Carnival Corporation President and CEO, Arnold W. Donald, and PwC Chairman and Senior Partner, Timothy F. Ryan, where the featured panelist with CNBC News Anchor, Bertha Coombs moderating.

Coombs engaged the CEOs in a fireside chat conversation centered around Hispanic inclusion strategies, the role diversity plays at the different levels of their companies, their philosophies on executive leadership, and the benefits of Hispanic Inclusion in Corporate America.

The HACR CEO Roundtable provides Fortune 500 and HACR Corporate Member companies with a national platform to showcase their company’s Hispanic inclusion strategies in the areas of Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance. Participating CEOs connect directly with the audience of influential Hispanic corporate leaders, diversity & inclusion experts, and public officials by providing insights related to their career achievements, sharing their outlook on the current state of the economy, and showcasing best practices for Hispanic inclusion at their respective companies.

“We are very excited for this year’s HACR CEO Roundtable featuring two leaders with inspiring careers - rising from mid-level managers to CEOs,” said HACR President & CEO, Cid Wilson. “We look forward to the participation of Janet Foutty and Pedro Pizarro. These CEOs lead by example and champion diversity and inclusion from the front line to the C-suite.”

Other noteworthy sessions where An Alliance for Board Diversity, An Executive Session with the Honorable Rosie G. Rios, Latina to Latina: Executive Perspectives, and Chief Diversity Officers Perspectives. Symposium concluded with the HACR Awards and Recognition Dinner where 40 HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers were awarded for their completion of this competitive program.
